FAQ

What tools and materials do I need?

Once you’ve completed any needed drywall repairs, the items you will need for texturing include:
-the EZ Texture Pro drywall texturing tool
-a bucket of drywall joint compound
-a Lexan knockdown blade
-a five gallon bucket for water and a sponge
-a drop cloth

How much does it cost?

The cost is very minimal. Once you’ve purchased your tools, one bucket of joint compound is enough to do both walls and ceiling of a 12 foot by 12 foot room. The cost of joint compound varies depending upon where you live, but average cost is $10–$12.

How long will it take?

The actual texturing, once drywall repairs have been completed, should take two to three hours for one person doing walls and ceiling in a 12 foot by 12 foot room.

What skills do I need?

No special skills are needed. Practically anyone can use the EZ Texture Pro texturing tool.

Who needs the EZ Texture Pro texturing tool?

–homeowners –drywall contractors
–investors –Painting contractors
–Fire restoration business
–remodelers –decorators
–faux painters

Why do I need to use a Lexan blade?

A Lexan blade saves you time and gives you a better finish. You can use other blades, such as a drywall knife, but they leave lines that will need to be sanded out before painting, whereas the Lexan blade does not.

Do I need to mix the joint compound before texturing?

No, just open the bucket and you are ready to go.

Where would I use the EZ Texture Pro texturing tool?

Throughout your whole house, just one room, or even just one wall as an accent wall.

Do I need to complete the texture process all at once?

No, with the EZ Texture Pro drywall texturing tool you can stop at any time, even in the middle of a wall, and finish at a later time. You will still get a quality, uniform texture.

What if I accidentally get joint compound on the trim or windows, etc.?

Simply wipe it off with a damp sponge or towel before it dries.
